The Conversation - The King of Mayhem (Vicky)
1. You are one of the most colorful cricketers on the cricket ground. What makes you stay energized?
2. Batting, bowling or fielding, you love giving it your best. Which skill do you prefer the most?
While I enjoy all aspects of cricket, I have a special affinity for fielding because it keeps me actively involved in the game, offers the opportunity to make impactful contributions to my team’s success through catches and run-outs, and allows for bonding moments with teammates during strategic plays and celebrations
3. How does a bad day at cricket affect you?
A bad day at cricket can be tough, but I try to learn from it and come back stronger. It’s all part of the game’s ups and downs, and resilience is key.
4. Explain your running between the wickets and who is your ideal running partner?
My running between the wickets is characterized by quick decision-making, communication with my partner, and aggressive yet calculated running. My ideal running partner would be one of the kids. I also love running with AK, Raghu, Sameer Mishra, Anand & ofcourse legendry Sundar
5. You have played under various captains. Whom do you like playing under the most and why?
I’ve had the privilege of playing under several captains, but the one I enjoyed playing under the most would be Samir. His leadership style resonates with me, fostering a positive environment while also demanding excellence. I also like the leadership style of my current cap - Shiten😊
There have been many legendary arguments on the field, but my favorite would have to be one where Vikram signalled a No Ball, standing as a leg Empire & did not take the decision back. For those who may not remember this – Sundar was at the receiving end & he went on to play one of the most legendary knocks at Maidan which established him as one of the most fearful batsmen. The argument showcased the intensity and passion of the game, making it an unforgettable moment for everyone.
