The Conversation - With Captain Courageous- Satya

 1. Can you name all the teams you have played for at Palladian?

Juggernaut, Spartans, Wolfpack, Inferno

2. What do you prefer doing, bowling or batting and why?

I enjoy both. While batting, the ball hitting the middle of the bat and exactly going where one intends it to go is meditating! I am more comfortable facing fast bowlers than spinners at Maidana.I prefer bowling over batting due to the reasons outlined below -Unlike batting which is (more often than not) reactive, bowling is proactive. You get the chance to think, plan and decide the execution of your deliveryIn bowling, you always get the chance to gather yourself and come back strong. Batting is unforgiving, if you are out you are done. The thrill of outthinking the batter and seeing your delivery exactly doing what you planned it for is super gratifying

3. Describe the following fellow cricketers in a few words

Vikram - Lofty shots baked with "all hearts"; can win the match with bowling when in rhythm

Vicky - Floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee

Kings - Stylish batter - His backlift and follow-through is a treat to watch

Hari - Mr. Cricket: Laser-sharp observer of the game. "Thinker-Doer-Mover-Shocker!"

4. Does all the talk by the opposition during the game affect you or do you get motivated by it?

Motivated by it - Never!Affected by it - Sometimes

5. If you could choose a bowler in tandem with, who would it be?

Arjun - He is highly effective at Maidana; I will benefit from the leverage of the pressure he creates on batters.

6. If someone needed to run for you (sub-runner), who would you trust? Please elaborate.

Hari - He is the most match-aware and in-the-moment cricketer; would never get me run out with unnecessary bravery!
