HK leads the Infernos to another scintillating win over the Vikings !!
*Infernos today handed a crushing defeat to Vikings, outplaying them in all departments of the game, winning by 5 wickets & 5 overs to spare.*
*The return of HK* propelled a sensational bowling & fielding performance by the Infernos that saw the Vikings be blown away & concede the match.
Vikings were on the back foot right from the start as *Anantha, Eeshan & Sathya* bowled fantastically to cut down the free flowing batting of *Manoj & Vicky*, although Vicky & Manoj were able to loft one each into the tennis court for boundaries.
However, it was the *youngster Eeshaan* who got the breakthrough, as he outfoxed *Manoj* with a short delivery to be caught by HK & futher went on to claim *2 more wickets* of the Vikings top order to bring about a batting collapse.
*With HK at his menacing best & Shitendra bowling really well in great rhythm*, the other Viking batsmen *Harsha, Anshul, Raghu, Arjun, Aashish & Gopi sir* couldn't manage to put bat to the ball to keep the score keepers busy.
The score board moved at a *snail's pace* with none of the Vikings batsman able to score boundaries. *The progress of the Vikings batting was 22 runs in 5 overs, 35 in 7 & 50 in 11 overs.*
*Sathya* coming back for his second spell ensured the batting collapse followed & the Viking innings could not get back into a balanced state after that and could only manage a *meager 64 runs on the board in 15 overs*.
It was *Anands solid batting* that took Vikings to a respectable score.
All the bowlers bowled very well for the Infernos but *Eeshan* was the most successful bowler claiming *3 wickets.*
The target for the Infernos was 65 runs in 15 overs but *the chase was not the regular stroll that the scoreline suggested*. With good & sensible bowling, the chase was made very difficult..
*The Infernos lost the first 3 wickets... AK, Sathya & Hari with 9 runs on board* & at one stage the Infernos were tottering at *15 for 4* with *Gopi(3) & Sushmit (1)* doing most of the damage upfront as they accounted for the top order. At this stage, the Vikings sensed an impossible victory but Infernos skipper HK had other ideas.
Scripting an incredible comeback from a perilous position, *HK, first with Chaitanya & later with Cool as a cucumber Kishore*, unfurled the most brutal of assaults, hitting *3 sixes and 2 fours in an 30 run knock* to take his team across the line with more than *4 overs* to spare. *Two back to back sixes off Gopi* under pressure situation was a treat to watch & *the six off Arjun* was exceptional. Arjun bowled a back of a length delivery on the stumps. HK gave himself a bit of room and thumped it over the bowler’s head for six.
*Kishore*, in association with the skipper HK went on to show immense potential. He finished things off in style smashing *16 runs(4,4,6) off 12* balls to help Infernos win the game in the 10th over. *Kishore sealing the win with a towering six.*
Was this Infernos victory over-dependant on one person or the only win till date from Vikings a fluke?....needs to be proved in the subsequent thrillers to be played at Maidaan.
*MOM*: *Father-son duo: KISHORE - EESHAN.*
Eeshan - 3 wickets & a beautiful catch.
*SCORE: 4-1*....Infernos leading.
*Note:* *HK* will not be considered for MOMs. *He is the Amir Khan of Maidaan*.
