HK leads the charge and helps Infernos win the Independence Day Cup 2023!!

 *INDEPENDENCE CUP 2023*.

*Inferno skipper HK called the coin right yet again & decided to bat*.

The Infernos opened with *AK & Chaitanya*. AK started the proceedings with a first ball boundary only to be caught out the next ball. Chaitanya also fell early.
The need of the hour for the Infernos was *to have a sensible partnership* & that happened in style between *HK & the elegant Kings.*

The early joy of the Vikings  was overshadowed by *HKs blitzkrieg*, as he & *Kings* smashed four sixes and six fours between them in a maniac batting display to take the score to *54 in 6 overs*.

*Kings* was dropped when he was on 10 by none other than one of the best outfielders of Vikings *Vicky* & the Vikings missed a silly run-out chance of Kings. At the end of the match it turned out that Vikings had dropped the cup as Kings struck a *blistering partnership* with Skipper HK to take the score to *78 runs in 10 overs.*

*HK* is a complete outlier, a monster capable of just relying on power and clearing the rope nine out of ten times when he wants it to. *He just murdered the Vikings bowlers with 8 massive sixes & equal number of well-timed boundaries* to score a majestic *80+ runs.*

The carnage started when *HK* smashed two towering sixes off *Gopi sir* over which fetched Infernos15 runs. Next, he smashed two sixes off *Harsha* and then took on Gopi again as infernos got 12.

It was an innings of complete dominance as the bowlers witnessed *HK in full cry*. None of the Vikings bowlers had an answer to HK's brutal hitting and succumbed to his will. He destroyed every bowler’s figures and reputation, not sparing anyone *except Arjun* who bowled a beautiful & deceptive line & length.

After *Kings* getting boundary out off Arjun, HK’s mayhem along with the *classical Hari* rocketed the Infernos towards a daunting tally.

*Arjuns comeback over* was a superb one as he disturbed *HKs off-stump* with an unplayable *yorker*, not before he was thumped for a big boundary &  *Hari* top-edging Arjun to be boundary out. At the end of  *12th over*, the score board read an imposing *112 runs.*

*With 3 overs remaining*, the in-form *Kiran & finisher Sathya*  unleashed the beast within themselves & took the death bowlers to the cleaners.  Their little banger at the end fetched them *37 runs* which helped Infernos reach a total of  *147 runs in 15 overs*, what looked like a near-insurmountable total.

*Kiran's* cameo was studded with 5 fours while *Sathya* hit 3 boundaries in their final onslaught. *Arjun* was the only silver lining in a terrible Viking bowling performance picking up 3 wickets giving away 20+ runs.

*Vikings*, chasing 147 started very badly *losing 3 wickets, Bipin, CP & Pranshul early.*

*Harsha & Aashish* played brilliantly to stich up a fabulous partnership. *Aashish* started the fireworks by smacking *HK* for a boundary & then *Harsha* belted *HK* for couple of boundaries.

The chase was on till Captain Aashish & Harsha continued to sizzle at the crease. Their partnership moved the score board to 50 runs. However, the required run-rate pressure got the better of them as *Aashish was brilliantly caught by wk Hari* & *Harsha* getting *boundary out* to bring curtains to the entertainment. *HK* jolted the Vikings by dismissing both the star batsmen.

*Arjun* tried his best to give the much needed impetus to his team & he succeeded briefly by hitting a towering six & couple of boundaries but then *such target is way beyond a one man show.*

Vikings continued to lose ground. *Gopi* getting run-out & *Vicky & Manoj* getting caught. Infernos had the game by the scruff.

*The youngsters Ahaan & Eshaan took the score to 102, but the game was lost much before this. It was rather lost, in the death overs of Infernos batting, with the Vikings conceding 70 runs in the last 5 overs*

*Sathya* was awesome in his fiery bowling spell maintaining a desciplined line.

Good bowling by the younsters, *Ayush & Andrews*  & *sensational catching* by Hari, Kings & HK were few of the notable points in this match.

*Infernos win the Independence Cup by 45 runs*
