Chaitanya wins it for the Infernos - Second MoM in 2 games!!

 Playing an official game here at Maidaan comes with a different sense of joy. The pressure overall is also different. A  game between Vikings and Infernos  always brings an edge and pressure.

*Infernos skipper HK called the coin right again & put the Vikings into bat.*

Vikings *openers Kings & CP* were tied down in the first two overs as the kiddos *Ayush & Vedant* bowled a tight line & length. Once set, both started with a flurry of boundaries. *Kings* after smacking couple of beautiful boundaries threw away his wicket in quest of more runs bringing *Gopi sir* to the crease.

It's nice to watch a free flowing batsman comeback to form, especially a  batsman like *CP.* *The stylish CP* kept the score board moving with some beautiful boundaries. His departure triggered the downfall of Vikings innings as they lost *Vikram, Bipin & Aashish* very cheaply. *Arjun* doing the damage, mixing his leg spinners beautifully with his fast incutters .

*Vikings from 25/ 2 slumped to 30/5* & the Infernos were right on top. At that stage, the Vikings looked almost out of the match but then the *evergreen Gopi sir* and the *dangerous Sameer* had other ideas. The duo played some delightful shots all over the ground to turn the game on its head. They stiched a wonderful partnership to get the score board to *65 runs* before *HK* sent Sameer back to the pavilion caught nicely by *Samir* behind the stumps.

Gopi was joined by *Hitman Pranshul* & these two hit some wonderful boundaries in a fruitful partnership to take the score to *80*. Pranshul trying to hit down the line nicked one to Samir to finish a good catch.

It was *Gopis innings* that brought Vikings to a fighting total from where they could think that they could win the match. *Gopi* took the onus to carve out a vital knock of 40+ runs to bring the Vikings back into the game.

With few overs left, Vicky, first with Raghu & then with Manoj took the score to 99 setting a daunting target of *100 runs to win in 15 overs.*

*While chasing*, Infernos were provided an *explosive start* by *AK & Chaitanya*.
The daunting target demanded the openers to go hard from ball one & that's what *AK & Chaitanya* did to give the Infernos a rocket start.

*Opener Chaitanya* capped his impressive run in this season with an explosive batting display to give a propelling start to the innings.
Vikings bowler *Kings & Gopi* suffered the brunt of his aggression, getting hammered for four boundaries and a six, one of them even landed on the top of the swimming pool fencing.

Infernos openers *AK & Chaitanya  stiched a blistering match-winning 49 runs partnership in 5.3 overs* as their side made light work of beating Vikings by five wickets & more than an over to spare.

*Chaitanya* scored around 40 runs before he was runout. Other batsmen *Samir, Arjun & Sathya* put up a clinical display & played beautiful cameos to stroll past the target without breaking a sweat. *The winning shot was a six by left- handed Ayush over the fine leg.*
